Elevations A (Side Walls) and B (Curved Corners)

The two sidewalls of the wine room were labeled Elevation A. The racking includes individual storage racks at the top and solid diamond bins at the bottom. Elevation B refers to the true-radius curved corner wine racks, which helped create a smooth transition from one wall to another.

We lined the middle section with a high reveal display row. To allow for the LED lighting installation, we added a light valance above the display row.

Elevation C (Back Wall)

Elevation C is the back wall. The center consists of a solid arch and single bottle openings on both sides. The owners have magnum bottles in their collection, so we added a 3-level horizontal wine rack above the solid arch.

Since the family wanted a tabletop in their wine cellar, we added a long one in the middle section of the back wall. It provides space for decanting and serving wine.

The tabletop is called an Infusion style tabletop because it was made from the inner parts of the reclaimed wine barrel. The planks have reddish tones because of the stain infused by the wine once stored in the barrel.

We added six rolling case openings and double deep X bins below the tabletop. These sections are ideal for storing wines in bulk.

Home Bar Area and Wine Tasting Room

Custom Wine Cellars San Francisco and Wine Cellar Specialist utilized a larger space for the wine tasting room in this home wine cellar. This feature was a great addition to the home because the owners love to entertain guests.

When you enter the gate to the wine tasting room, you will find a small table with chairs where the client and his friends can sip wine. There is a wine barrel table placed in the corner of the room.

We used a Stonecoat material on the walls and ceiling. It is made of crushed limestone from France, which is blown onto the surface, hand carved, and painted. The Stonecoat at the bottom walls was uncut while the top section was intended to look like cut stones.

We added an elegant Nico style chandelier hanging at the center of the home bar area.

Home Bar Features

We placed the home bar furniture on the back wall. We constructed it using Knotty Alder and applied with a stain and lacquer.

Top Section

To maximize the storage capacity of the room, we included solid cabinets at the top section of the home bar furniture. Below them is a lighted cabinet with double glass doors where the owners can highlight some their favorite vintages.

We added a 3-level open shelf on both sides of the lighted cabinet. The two top levels are intended for displaying the client’s wine cellar accessories while the bottom shelf is for storing the wine glasses upside down.

Middle and Bottom Sections

We included two solid cabinets with adjustable shelves at the bottom of the home bar. There is a built-in 3036 Uline refrigerator at the center. We concealed the unit in double glass doors.

Above this section are two drawers where the owners can store wine cellar accessories like decanters, wine glasses, bottle openers, and a lot more. A wine barrel tabletop lines the center of the home bar.
